    Why you shouldn’t push off of the big toe. It is one of the end points of the forefoot triangle.  The forefoot triangle is utilized when body shifts from shifts to in front of the cog. 

    Plantar flexing  or pushing from the big toe creates instability in the transverse arch which will then weaken the medial and lateral arches.
